The Punjab Pollution Control Board has been working in the field of environmental conservation and pollution abatement from a long time. It has been a continuous Endeavour and field of environment conservation has been throwing new challenges all the time. Being a momentous task and huge field it requires coordinated efforts from all stakeholders.

Where on the one hand periods for consents and authorizations have been increased for creating conducive business environment monitoring and surprise checking has been increased on the other. Process simplification, ensuring increased transparency and on-line consent management are our next areas of priority. We in the Board shall strive hard to achieve target of sustainable development with prime emphasis on ecological protection and conservation of environment. I hope that all the various stakeholders shall aid and assist the Board in achieving its good through co-operative efforts. I appeal to various industries to run their ETPs / APCDs regularly and to the best capacity and ensure achievement of standards.
